Finished!!!

Yes, i'm finished with school for the summer and headed to the beach in a few weeks. Payton is home sick with the bug today and prayerful this will be the ended of it. I've got some cool pictures to add hopefully in the next couple of days. Hope everyone has a BLESSED day

tonight is the first of the DIXIE STIX fastpitch softball games. Payton will play on Tuesday in Liberty, MS, they have a summer AU league. there will be tournament ball on the weekends. i must admit i'm pretty excited. hope everyone has a blessed day. :)

that smell...

What is that smell? I have looked for it, cleaned out the fridge, washed the garbage can out. and still what is that smell???? Well for all curious minds, that smell is the wonderful Easter Eggs that we dyed last weekend!! Yes some of them were hide under the plastic eggs in the baskets and yes they were inside, and that was that smell. :)

A change of songs now.... Get your GOGO Boots on its time to play ball. That is what we have been doing and now we will kick it up a notch. Ball practice friday @ 5 (dixie stix), ball practice saturday @ 10:30 (mccomb league); ball game monday-- mccomb, double hitter tuesday in liberty-- dixie stix.... wow!!! I'm very excited but a bit worried. Did i mention May 5, that is the first tournament at forrest.

We got beat tonight. Payton got hit upside the head. She is ok. Played first base and did a great job. She smacked the ball everytime she was up to bat!!!

Well, i'm going to watch a little t.v and get my calender up dated, the good Lord above knows i need to keeep it current or we may be somewhere we shouldn't.... easily :)

THis is the last week of classes for me!!! I so look forward to a summer break. Then to Southern Miss to FINALLY FINISH!!! YES THAT IS RIGHT TO FINALLY FINISH!!! YEAH ME!!! GO GOLD!!!!!

Good day to all. It has been a great weekend. We started it off with Payton's b'day party in hattiesburg @ club Libby lou's. all the girls had a great time. Little Maggie got her ears pierced, with very few tears. Played a few cards on Saturday and had church on Sunday. Today, We have a softball game @ 5:30. Hope every one has a great day. It is beautiful outside and the weather is warming up.

Spring is here and school is almost over for another year. Payton will be headed to the Say it with me 4th grade. Yes that is right the 4th grade.
She is going with some of her friends Friday to "Libby Lou's" for her birthday. she is soooo excited. If you don't believe me ask Karon (Dunnam).
Anyway hope everyone has a great weekend. We will busy. Softball tonight, birthday party 2morrow, and then there is practice on saturday, church on Sunday which yes Esther will include Sunday School, then monday and off we go again......

Game # 1

Payton's 1st softball game was last night. She played like a pro. Caught a fly ball, make great catches and throws, and hit the ball like she had been doing it all her life. She takes after her mom and is very competitive.... She plays the pitcher in mccombs version of fast pitch girls softball. the coach actually pitches the ball and technically it is not wind up fast pitch.
Anyway school is winding down and it is almost time for our annual beach trip!!!!!!!!!
Christi, Maureen, Me and our little people will be making our 3rd annual beach trip. We have so much fun and i can't wait. We will spend a week @ topsail beach, north carolina here:

Happy Easter to all. This is the best day of the year for a christian. This is the day of salvation. The blood is the best gift you will ever receive and grace it is added on for no charge. What an AWESOME GOD!!
We have had a great weekend. Did a little card playing and i kicked butt. three games to none over Maureen and Christi, we ate like royality and enjoyed the time together. Church was great and my mom had a small feast for lunch. what a great weekend time with family who just happens to turn out to be your friends also.
Hope that everyone has a great week, MOnday is here Again and the week is off. Just remember that grace is already there too....

UP and running

we went to Baton Rouge yesterday. And did not get much done. Sassy still didn't feel very good, which was very apparent when we walked into the GAP outlet. " just get what you need, I don't want anything so we GO". Poor baby. Well that is what we did. Picked up Mitch some new threads and left. Went to old navy and that pretty much ended the shopping. Copeland to eat one little pit stop amd we on our way home, early. But i had not picked up Easter goodies.
SOOOO! I left the house at @5:30 AM this morning headed to the city. That's a whole different story. Short version we disussed yesterday that we lived in smithdale and it was a town, a country town and that mccomb was a city. so why do we refer to mccomb as "going to town?" Payton discussed i "yeah", "uum","dont know", "you are right" and i can't really put into words drew's thoughts, but they were good. Anyway back to the story within. So we decided that mccomb would be the city. So, again i headed into the "city" and picked up goodies. Mitch stayed in bed with the little people, who are still sleeping. and i'm bak unloaded and ready. Thinking a nap will be a must later. anyway happy trails to all. We are going egg hunting soon and in the freezing cold....

Good Morning....

Mitch, who came home yesterday, had coffee ready this morning and he and Drew are off. Hopefully to get Drew's haircut. I have class for an hour this morning, Payton is still a little under the weather. So she and I decided to let her stay in bed until i get back. (Mith will be in and out with Drew, no harm). I actually had extra time this morning, but DON'T tell Mitch, he had the whole house up way before the rooster. Hopefully i will be able to stay up for my THURSDAY night shows! after all Grey's is a must.
Easter is this weekend and i'm not ready, hope all of you are. Don't forget the Easter egg Hunt @ Mt. Olive. Jeanne is bringing a surprize for all!!
Anyway, i'm off to get a little education. One of these days i'm going to grow up and get a j-o-b BUT it won't be today.

it's NO ladybug....

As many know i love ladybugs and have my very own but this.....

there is a horrible bug going around the smithdale community and sweet, well it isn't. The carraway's have had more than their fair share. i have bleached everything including the silverware and have been using plastic... and praying that Drew didn't get it. his little buddies that he plays with everyday, nathan and madison, have not shared "the bug" with him. thanks lisa!! Anyway, payton, who turned NINE yesterday, did not feel good this morning but went to school anyway is in the BED as i type. does NOT want to go the SOFTBALL practice, has the tv off, lights off, pj's on and is in the bed (tryong to sleep if i can keep drew away).... and you guessed it. i think she has "the bug". prayerfully drew will not get it and i will not get it and mitch comes home 2morrow and the good LORD willing he won't get it.

Drew has been staying with PAWPAW NELSON and Aunt NETTE NETTE., while the carraways have been sick. Aunt Nette Wroten is a great, she kept mitch when he was little and drew absolutely loves her and papaw nelson.

I'm headed to make payton some chicken and dumplings, her favorite, hopefully it will make her fell better, i hope so anyway.

A dead Cat, a Fire and ...

Yes the kitty died. And i don't know why. I found her last night and she was not looking good at all but was afraid to full with her too much. She snapped at the other cats when they came to help. So i was afraid she would BITE me. This morning she had died.
I picked Drew up at 9:45 from Lisa and we headed home. I had a pile of dead brush i wanted to burn and Mitch said, NO! Not to, that it would be too much trouble because it was by the pines with all the other dead stuff. Well i had a wonderful idea. today the wind is not blowing, it wasn't hot at the time, and we had nothing to do. and the pile wasn't that big. So guess what i did..... Yes, i have worked my tail off trying to but out the FIRE. and i did. After cutting a few pine brances and beating it. my body will never be the same and i will never do that again, i promise Mitch, who is out on the"big pond". Thank the Good Lord above no fire trucks were needed but. it took an hour and a half to get the thing out. my body is not happy. Drew left me high and dry. he took his tractor and went to the yard, about 50 yards away and yelled "momma you ok?" and never moved!! maybe i should learn a lesson from him. Now i'm going to feed Drew and let him take a nap and i'm going to follow...
