sad news

I just received word that "Aunt Glenn" Schmidt passed away this evening. She was in Donaldsonville, LA, with her son and daughter and family members. This sweet lady is at peace now and is all better. I have many many memories of her. She was and will always be very special to me.

is he cute or what...

couldn't resist taking these of Drew. We had just gotten home from traveling to Donaldsonville, LA to see Aunt Glenn. Drew says, " i need to go check the soy beans". i say "ok". i look up and he getting ready: boots, sun glasses and his hat and yells "bye mom going to 'work' " i grabbed the camera and followed him. isn't that my job to follow always. here are a few of my favorite ones:

lazy day

lazy may be the wrong word.... Today we cleaned out Payton's closet and cleaned up her room. She will need lots of clothes for school, hope Mitch is ready. I have cleaned the entire kitchen and the bathrooms, cleaned the fridge, done the laundry (not all is put up YET)and vacuumed. Did I mention today was a LAZY DAY.

Tomorrow Mamma, Malisa, me and my little people are going to see "Aunt Glenn" Schmidt. She is very ill and not doing very well. Please pray for her and her family.

today was great, except Mitch left work, but who says you can have it all.
Anyway we got up early. Got dressed and headed to DeeDee's house in Brookhaven(high school friend) picked her and her son Mac up. Hit the road. Maureen and her little people, Katy and her little person, Esther and her sister-n-law, Lisa, and little people headed to the waterpark in Collins-Grand Paradise Waterpark. We had a great time. No pics i didn't take a camera. On the way home it began to RAIN and that is great. When we got to smithdale it was really RAINING and the soy beans need the rain!!!
Thank You GOD for sending the rain. We need the rain- my yard needs the rain, the trees need the rain and the animals need the rain. PRAISE HIM PRAISE HIM all you little children...... that song popped in my head. Hope you all are having a great week.

Yes Jackson Parke Lewis celebrated his birthday on saturday. We had a great time and the cake and ice cream was a sin ( but i ate eat anyway and paid for it later). Here are a few pics

Arnold Reunion

Yes we had the big Arnold Reunion Sunday @ Aunt Sue & Uncle Eddie's home. There was plenty of fabulous food-- homemade ice cream in the flavors of peach, vanilla, strawberry and my fav butterfinger and lots of Arnold's to eat. My PawPaw Buster is the baby boy of, i believe, they started with 9 or 10 and one past away young. Today he and his baby sister are left and and lots and lots of first cousins and second and will you understand. here are a few pics from the day. The first is PawPaw and Aunt Ruby, all the people left when we took the picture (missing a few) and the last is My PawPaw, his children, grandchildren and great grands and we are missing a few.

Yes, we've been bonding again. together we have accomplished a lot and had a great time doing it! here are few shots .... We are making squash relish and salsa on this day along with pepper sauce.
