Here are a few of my favorite photos of my Pawpaw.

How do you put into words someone that was bigger than life? Someone who was so special? and someone who was such an inspiration to all who knew him. Aunt Ruby, Pawpaw's baby sister made the statement, "if you didn't like Buster, than it was your choice not his."

I can not remember one single time that he raised his voice or yelled at any of us. That is amazing to me. I asked several other family members and of course they couldn't either. What a honor and what an achievement. How many people can say that? I can't!! My Pawpaw lived an amazing life and overcame the impossible and he did with class, diginity, pride, grace, courage, faith and mostly love. Not just for himself but love for his family!!

He was born the baby boy of nine children, the baby of seven boys and Aunt Ruby is the baby. His name was Harry Arnold, or Buster to the world. He worked in the oil fields of Texas and Louisana with his brothers and friends. Endless stories would be told of the days in the fields and moving with Mary Lee and "the boys", Sandy and Sue. Oh the stories that i have in my head to tell you. AND i will tell you them all. I need to tell them they need to be put to paper for all generations to here. Pawpaw once told me that they had been moving so much that "Mary Lee stopped packing the dishes up. She would just stuff the cabinets with pillows and tape them shut." :)

At the age of 39, Dec 16,1967 (i think that date is right). Life as my Pawpaw knew it changed forever. He fell on one of the rigs from the top to the bottom. The accident left him paralyzed. The actually diagnois was he would be lucky to make through the night, he did. Well, he won't make through the day, he did. He won't make it six months, HE DID! He out lived a few doctors and made it 42 years, almost 43!! That is crazy! That is amazing! That is my Pawpaw an incredible and amazingly strong man. Over the years to come, he would bury his wife, Mary Lee, his parents, all his siblings but his baby sister, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He did it all with his head up high and with a positive attitude. You NEVER heard him complain or ask why me? He had this saying "I had worst places on my lip and never quit whistling." truth be told he probably had. It wasn't until i was standing at his graveside that i realized what he had been telling ALL my life. I, (you) can over come anything in life with right frame of mind and attitude.

He watched his 4 children grow and have families. He had 8 grandchildren that he held and watch grow and he had 7 great-grand children that he held and saw and loved!! How amazing is that!

He traveled everywhere. I can remember he had a gray/silver car and then he got a big blue tank-- a Bonneville--- it was huge! but he would load up throw his bags in a be gone. One day he wanted to go to Wal-Mart in Brookhaven. This before super Wal-mart, which is good we may have still been in there. We went down every isle in the store! He looked and looked--- Did not buy one thing-- nothing. He said, You ready? and we left. Went to KFC picked up a bucket of chicken and headed home. :)

Malisa found a paper that I wrote in college. I wrote the paper about my PawPaw. The title reads: My Grandfather, Harry Buster Arnold. Under that it reads: the three qualities I plan to honor are: Determination, Perseverence, and Motivation

in the paper I found this: "While his family kept him motivated, he is the motivation that keeps them going now."

I was so Blessed to have him in my life for 35 years. And yes, he is a huge part of who I am today. He taught me the importance of family and faith, to get an education and to never quit. He was my motivation. He wasn't just my Pawpaw he was my friend!!

So today as I remember my Pawpaw, it's been 6 months. I never thought I would breathe again, in all honesty i worried about just getting out of the bed... the crazy thing is that i've been doing it for 6 months!! 6 months!! it's been 6nonths since i talked to my Pawpaw....

I'm reminded of the song, Crying for me--

You showed me how I'm supposed to live

and now you showed me how to die...

I'm gonna miss that smile, i'm gonna miss you my friend,

Even though it hurts the way it ended up, i'd do it all again

So play it sweet in heaven 'cause that's right where you want to be

We have said goodbye. We have been to the creek. we have been to the beach. we have gone back to school. it has been months and i still don't have the words to express how much MY Pawpaw meant to me :)

i have pictures and i have lots of memories...... i know i will find the words.

School, i only have three weeks left... promise to better and pictures for you to see. we have them

Yes, she is graduating from the 6th grade!!! Wow! can you believe that?! Seems like yesterday we brought her home! and now she is going to be graduating and going into the 7th grade. SHe is halfway finished with her elementary/high school career. Time has flown bye. I could not be prouder. She is smart and talented. She has been so easy. I can not wait to see what the Lord has planned for her life. Payton, I love you more than you could ever know!!!

Hanging out in the backyard this week.... the weather has been perfect. so the little boys have been enjoying the outside life: tractors, dump trucks and popsicles!! a sand box to come very soon (with a top) and i know-- no pictures of Payton--- she was swinging during this time "texting" and i see that enough without taking a picture-- will hav lots of pictures of her soon-- she is living the 6th grade and headed to the big time jr. high, 7th grade!!! You may should go ahead and put her daddy on the prayer list :)

this has been a crazy year. mitch has been home from offshore for a year--- this is the longest period of time we have spent together. We went to different jr high/high schools, different colleges and after we married mitch was working offshore. so he has had a vast adjustment [and the rest of us.] :)

We all have Blessings and we all have trials. my trials are not your trials and yours are not mine. I'm very thankful that i don't have to deal with the ugly of the world by myself. I'm happy that we have each other. For all the good times and the bad-- thank you mitch, i would not trade them for anything in the world. I love you!

Note to self: check your e-mail--- everyday or at least every other day. i checked my e-mail today and went through most of them, deleted a lot, and even answered a few :) Everything and everybody does not use Facebook. check e-mail. and i thought texting had taken over.

the remote seems to be a favorite toy for Jeremy. not the play one or old remotes. He wants the one the "real" ones. Now at my momma's house we didn't have a remote to the tv or cable for that when i lived there. so changing the tv and turning on & off should not be a issue, right??? Wrong!! I spent have the morning looking for the remote after the today show went off only to find that jeremy had it watching Mickey Mouse. :)

only a few more days and Jeremy will be 1!!! and CHRIStmas will be here

it has been a BUSY CRAZY week already!! i like slow boring nothing happening weeks...
Drew's 5th birthday was yesterday, sept. 1. can you believe that? So i delivered cookies for him to give out to his classmates and of coursse he wanted them from Janies' (in b'haven). But you know what he loves them........... anyway he had a great day filled with new hunting boots and a John Deere Gator with a Power lift!!

Toler, my kitty , who will be 15 in March, is very sick. Toler has always been huge and heavy. has been losing weight , won't eat and just not himself. So off to see Dr. Pat and Ms. Jill---Toler is having "sugar" trouble-- his was 447!! which is REALLY high. Toler is now taking insulin and goes back in the morning--- hoping this solves his problem. Mitch and i gave him his shot this mornig and he did eat a little

Payton had soccer yesterday--- she played great even if they lost by one goal. Drew and Payton will both play on Thursday and drew will play on saturday---- wow i'm going to stay inthe road. However, it just this month and they both like it--- so that makes all worth it :)

So the next couple weeks are going to be Crazy...... and just a Friendly Reminder.....
CHRISTmas is coming!!!! i'm really excited this is going to BE a great one.

Mitch and I have been married 12 years!!! Sunday, August 2, was our anniversary-- 12 years seems like a long time however, as i type this and see the little people play, 12 years doesn't seem that long. It does seem like a GREAT and Wonderful Achievement especially in the times in which we live. I'm very proud of our 12 years the ups and the downs, good and the ugly..... Over all it has been Great and I look Forward to many many more.

Yesterday was Very CRaZy! We got up little people had breakfast. Payton went to "get dressed"-- she is going into the 6th grade (that is a whole new post--LOL). Drew went out to play. I was going to "jump" in the shower and head to town. I heard Drew SCREAMING like crazy and yelling for me. A wasp had stung him above his lip!! and it looked horrible already. i threw on clothes , called the doctor, gave him Benadryl and headed out the door. Anyway, Drew was taken right on back to the procedure room and received an Epinephrine shot and a steroid shot. Dr. Holland and the nurses were Wonderful!! But they are always great with my children. Poor baby, they gave him a Sprite to drink and he was so swollen that he could not drink with the straw. i did take a picture after we returned home.... it does NOT do the situation Justice at all.
Today-- he is better. Bless is little heart he is Still SWolleN.

Payton and I rode to Brookhaven with Jeremy to get ice Cream and stop by Wally world.... No big plans just a little outing..... (Drew is with Mitch)

We did that came home, Mitch and Drew had supper, payton was just hanging out, bathed the little boys, getting ready to settle in for the night, Finish my book....

Started looking for my diaper bag. Started really looking for my diaper bag--- my wallet is in it. I knew exactly WHERE it was. In the BUGGY at WAL-MART. I could see it plan as day. I was beginning to stress: 1--because Mitch has picked up on my stress level. I'm trying to get Jeremy a bottle and I'm very distracted. #2 there is way more money in my wallet than normal, plus some farm info, the beach account, house account, debt cards, health and You see where this is going. Not looking good

Mitch finally asked & I told him and he said "hmm, well Jeremy that is why your bottle is taking so long. Amy why did you leave the diaper bag? Where is your wallet?" and of course then he realized all my stuff is my cool diaper bag. AND I TOLD HIM-- because--- Well--- I only have TWO HANDS and even if you all act like I'm SuperWOMAN--- I'M NOT!!! do you think i left it on purpose to see what would happen?

Any way I called Wal-Mart --- I really just wanted my bag and Jeremy's cool little shoes. After talking to 3 People--- I was informed that-- MY COOL DIAPER BAG HAD BEEN RETURNED AND THE SHOES ARE IN THE BAG--( i asked the lady to check and my wallet with the money--headed bag to Brookhaven-- WOOHOO!!! I get there and my wallet and checkbook is there and all of the money and let's just it was over $200. THANK GOD FOR THE PERSON(S) WHO FOUND AND RETURNED IT UNTOUCHED. THERE IS STILL SOME GOOD PEOPLE TO BE FOUND. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Payton cut 11 1/2 inches off her hair on Thursday, June 25, 2009. She has sent that off!!! What a sweet young lady. I forgot to take an after picture at Ms. Paula's shop. But i do have one.....

Payton made the McComb 10 year old All-Star team. They played this past weekend in Tupelo, Ms-- we Saw Elvis (ha ha). She had a great time, they did not win the tourn. But they played great!! Way to go Payton!!!!

So the beach will be the Beginning of the Story.... We had a great time living on beach time!! As in the past the beach was relaxing and fun. I will say that with Baby Jeremy-- I didn't take as many pictures BUt.... Maureen and Christi helped out in that area. We have some great pictures.

Today has been a great day and a busy one. I'm working in reverse because i put the pictures on here backwards.... So here is my day- I hope you enjoy it as much as I DID ;)

Drew's first t-ball game was tonight--woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!! He did great. Drew and Tanner are on the same team in McComb--

Going to pick Drew up. Payton spend the night with Daniella and went to the show today. So i have NO pictures of her :( She had a great time and that's what matters. I realize more every day that my daughter is growing into a young lady and my days are numbered... moving on.

Drew was with Mitch today while Jeremy and I played with a few of my favorite People. when i went to get him this is what i SAW:
He is running to me YELLING, "MoMMA!!!" Made my DAY! no matter what Drew is and believe some times there are not enough words. DREW LOVES his MOMMA! Thank YOu Lord for my Sweet boy. For this child, boy, I Prayed many years. Thank you Lord for answering my Prayers in your time.... Even the ones that i haven't seen answers for yet, I KNOW and BELIEve they are at your feet.

Drew was on the tractor with Mitch when I got to the barn. They were parking the tractor just finished their "chores".

Next we have MR. ED--- maybe my favorite part of the day!! Thanks Mr. Ed, i so enjoyed watching the honey bees. I was at the right place at the right time. Here Mr. Ed is checking on his bees. He has 15 colonies and around 60,000 bees in each, you do the math. I so enjoyed watching them and learning about what he does. Maybe i can talk Mitch into getting bees.... could help the crops!!! :)

this Weekend

payton had a great weekend. She played sotftball on Friday. She pitched the 1st inning-- struck 3 out!! walked one and had 2 batters hit the ball. She did great. She walked the 1st time up and got a double the 2nd time. She played short stop until the last inning last batter. the bases are loaded with 2 outs- the coaches put her back on the pitching mound and she struck the batter Out!!! SHe played great and had a great time; they have started the season off 2-0. Malisa gave her a Wii for her birthday-- and she loves it. Saturday morning was breakfast and Wii time. Then it was off to the church for the Egg Hunt....

Drew Bradlee found the Gold Egg and 27 eggs at the hunt. He had a blast. All the little people had a great time.

F is for fishing. We went up this weekend to Rosedale for Matthew Arnold's wedding. saturday we spent the morning at Uncle Mike's Cabin on Archer Island. Momma, Uncle Gary, Payton, Drew, Jeremy and me all rode out. Uncle Mike took Payton and Drew on a boat ride and then the fishing was on. Payton and Drew had a blast!! She caught 10 and Drew caught 5. E-- is also for Evergreen. I love trees. Don't know why but i do. Monday Drew and I plant 5 cedar trees on the edge of the yard. I hope to use them for lights at Christmas and to keep little boys in the yard-- a natural fence. we will see. Evergreen trees always remind me of CHRISTmas and God. They just say-- I'm here Amy. I'm with you even now (while the other in the winter look dead) in the winter. Thank you LORD for always being with us, even when things look "dead".

My 25 Random List ( this has taken me longer than i thought, months)Ok, so i was tagged, challenged, or asked to do this back in November. It has taken a little time to first think of 25 random facts but here they are:
1. I'm a LONG way from who i was in high school & college!!! and i like it. my days and nights are surrounded by my Little People & Mitch. This is my GREATEST accomplishment--- the mother of THREE: Payton Layne Wilson, age 10; Drew Bradlee Wilson, age 4; Jeremy Nolan Wilson, age brand new!!My marriage and Mitch of course is all counted in this.... But doesn't that all go together
2. I like my towels folded a certain way. If they are not folded with the seams and tags inside, i will refold
3. My bed MUST be made before i sleep in it and clean sheets @ least once a week--clean sheets are a must. lots of pillows-- on my bed i have 10 pillows. Payton has 5 for her and Drew has 5 for him, Jeremy doesn't have any YET
4. i like my groceries bagged a certain way. each item has a special place in my cabinet and my freezer is arranged too. i prefer to put the groceries up and to put things in the freezer myself.
5. the toilet paper goes over the roll NOT down the back or under. i will change the roll at my house or yours.
6. I like to read. Patricia Cromwell is my favorite author. I like Beth Moore, the harry potter books really are a great read. i don't really care for romance but can read it, i like mystery and history.
7. i hate gum--- don't like; don't like to hear people pop it; really don't like for people to throw it on the ground.
8. I'm a Fox News and MSNBC girl. Fox is better than MSNBC on being fair to all But chris matthews is one of my favorite political people. i watch both channels in the morning. i try to keep up with the political scene. i don't agree with some or most of it but i try to stay informed. 9. 7th Heaven, NCIS, Reba and the Andy Griffin show are my all time favorite shows. Payton, Drew, Mitch and now Jeremy, we all watch these whenever they are on.
10. i'm a very lite sleeper.
11. I have taken a nap in a casket. i lived @ the funeral home. i can drive a hearse. I'm a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer
12. most of the music today-- i don't call music!! i like country, old country, gospel- southern gospel, old rock. some of this new "music" well i'm not sure it's even music. i can hear the words and the words i hear i shouldn't hear and neither should you are anybody else. i didn't even watch the Grammy awards when i heard and read the line up---
13. i like sports: basketball, softball, baseball, football, Nascar
14. i can drive the big tractors on the farm. i have taken the tractor to get the garden ready and returned it to the barn. NONE of the boys believed that i fixed the garden spot. to this day they think one of them did it!! Ha. Silly Boys Tractors are for girls TOO! ;)
15. My favorite place is Topsail Beach, North Carolina. We have been going to the beach since 2002 every summer. it started with the first trip to Orange Beach. Payton & I went with Rhonda and Billy & their little people, we had a blast. 2 summers we all went . Then we went on the adventure with the Wilson bunch: Ms. Joyce, Katie and her little people, Christi & her girls, Maureen & Tanner; Payton, Drew & Me-- that was fun too maybe a little more stressful. the next summer we changed location to Topsail or as we call it "THE BEACH", Because frankly there is NO other. Maureen, Christi and me took our little people and well as they say "the rest is history". We have been going ever since. This year is no exception.... Topsail here we come June 5-14 2009!! WOOHOO
16. I love to CUT grass!! and work in the yard. LOVE IT
17. i worked for 1 1/2 weeks at HOOTERS is Dallas, Texas while I was in college. Mitch wasn't happy and insisted--made-- me quit. i got a job in the mall working at a gift store--Happenstance.
18. i have for as long as i can remember loved to take pictures. My first camera came at the age of 5 or 6 from my uncle mike, i was hooked. love it. love to take pics of my little people, family and friends and just whatever.
19. CHRISTmas is my favorite holiday. I have already bought presents for CHRISTmas 2009!! I love to buy gifts for my family and friends. Love the holiday season and all the crazy that comes with it.
20. I'm not a girly girl; make-up is NOT required for me to leave the house
21. These are a few of my favorite things: Flip-flops, TEVA, flip-flops. These are my favorite shoes and everyone should wear them.
22. Cook-- i love to cook. Love to cook for my family and friends. Cooking is one of the ways i like to relax-- and release stress. I try to cook a meal every night especially during the week for my little people to eat. I'm trying to cut out fast food. I'm also trying to cook healthy for them.
23. i like Riding in the tractor/combine with Mitch. I love to ride with him during harvest time. :)24. i can sew. i have huge supply of fabric. several boxes of fabric just but up ready to be made into something fabulous

D- D is for DREW Yes, D is for Drew Bradlee Wilson. Drew was born September 1, 2004. He is named after his daddy, Mitchell "Lee", and dear friend who passed away -Brad Ratcliff. All this together equals Bradlee. He is all boy. Loves like there is no tomorrow and doesn't know fear at all. He is always busy busy. Tractors, big trucks, spider man and playing outside is his favorite ways to pass the time away. He is in K-4 @ Parklane Academy and loves schools which may surprise me. P.E. is his favorite activity and computer. He is smart. Drew is my heart I prayed a very long time for him. Thank You Lord for answered prayers. I could go on and on but... D is for Drew

BONDING 101
Bonding is an Arnold past-time or how we like to spend our summer, spring, fall and winter days hanging out "bonding" bonding 101. Now that does normally require a garden or a vegetable or a really good recipe or a project. Heck honestly it usually requires ALL the above and more. However, at the end of the day we have a feast like Royalty. The food and fellowship is priceless. I know all my first cousins very well, i know all their birthdays don't have to look it up, i know how to get hold of them at a moments notice. We have spend lots of time and days together and i love it. My little people know them as well as i do and their little people too. Bonding is the perfect family therapy. Thank you Lord for Bonding 101! :)

B-- is for BIBLE
my Bible is a huge part of my everyday life. It is in horrible shape-- seriously needs to be recovered but it has everything i need in it. I mark in my Bible. I write notes to my little people in my Bible about scripture. They each have a spot that i add to. My thought is that one day many many days from now my Bible will provide comfort. My favorite passages are marked. Passages that i want Payton to know or I feel special just for her And of course Drew and now Jeremy too.
My Bible is also comforting for me. I not only read it but i study it just like i would a school book. I love to cross reference passages and try to learn all i can from it. Bro Joey, my pastor, does an excellent job of giving scripture references in his sermons. I always try to mark those with the passage.

A--Amy, of course. What better way to start than with me!! Amy Wilson, i'm married to Mitch (11yrs). we have 3 little people: Payton, Drew and Jeremy. I have a college education in several things now that i think about: i have an associate degree in science from Co-Lin and an arts too. i'm a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer and i will (hopefully) student teach this August (2009) and graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi in December!!! Yeah me!! I live in Smithdale or as i call it Wilsonville. My family and friends are very important to me. I love to cook and work in the yard. Cutting grass is one of my favorite things to do. I love to read, take pictures, scrapbook and just hang out with family & friends

i Totally agree with Dorothy from OZ. Last week was LONG. Jeremy was admitted to KDMC on Monday morning and was discharged Saturday @ 5:15pm. to say last week was difficult is an understatement. He is better and will see the dr. braden on Wednesday.

honeybells grow in florida. they are available for a very short time, just a few weeks in January. HoneyBells are a hybrid of Dancy Tangerine and Duncan Grapefruit. They are way juicy and have more natural sugar than any other citrus fruit== sweet, but not too sweet.
Jeanne you must come by and try one, plus i have a few items for you.

Yes, he is a happy baby and very good-- He went to bed @ 10pm and SLEPT till 4!!! this morning. :)

It will be a very busy week for us--- Mitch left this morning for school, Payton has 3 basketball games this week (all away, of course), Drew has a few "special items" needed for school this week and well, you all get the picture.

hope everyone had a great day Jan. 1-- we did. the wilson clan came over and ate lunch. we had a great lunch: roast, pork loin, mac & cheese, cabbage, corn salad, green beans, corn bread, stuffed eggs and buttermilk pie!! Maureen, Christi, Katie, Wendell & me ate a whole pie all at one time-- the pie was fabulous, thanks Maureen for making 2 more. We, maureen, christi and me ate 1 the day before. Love buttermilk pies. anyway moving on--- we had a great day. if Jan 1 was a sign then 2009 will be a great year.

in the whole wide world. Yep, that's me!!

Mitch has done all the shopping for me. Tonight we had shrimp and all the trimming. When he finished eating there was plenty of left over shrimp-- he commented how good they will be on a po-boy for lunch 2morrow. and of course i replied that means you need to go to town and pick up po-boy buns b/c we were out. Mitch hates to grocery shop and just smiled and said maybe. then Payton commented that she liked po-boys too. He replied " i'll go early in the morning, maybe there won't be as many people" now he is thinking about 5am, that's Mitch's early in the morning. But-- i must confess-- i'm very proud of him. he has been great during this last little person. he has been to town, done all my running around, and today went and picked up lunch stuff for Payton and Drew for school and the supplies for Drew's project. Bless his heart -- it took him an HOUR to find and get the supplies for Drew's school project-- he had a hard timing find things-- i think he spent between 1 1/2 t 2 hours in wal-mart.

here are few pics from the SNOW!!! my little people and Mitch had a blast. we measured 4" of snow while out during this time and it snowed for @ least another hour to hour 1/2 after we went back in. I guess we got between 5 and 5 1/2" easy.
